Very interesting read, Michael. A few thoughts:

Nice to see Devo actually investing in a show again instead of just
playing to a bare stage. Devo can play on a bare stage just fine, but
the extra visuals are always welcome.

Finally, Jerry gets his signature song back! I've never liked Mark
singing Jerry's songs live, especially "Beautiful World." But Jihad
Jerry got his song back, and Booji Boy was disposed of the way a
thieving song-stealer should be disposed...beheading! BTW, I
understand that Pilmer had to undergo 4 hours of makeup per show to
look like Osama bin Laden.

Why the hell did Bob 2 choose a Dean ML bass to play? I've played
them and they're horrible sounding and very awkward. its only value
is looking cool, and Bob 2 is already the coolest.

Speaking of Bob 2, somebody needs to explain the value of eating whole
foods to Devo. Jerry, Mark and Bob 2 are huge now and getting larger
every year! Josh and Bob 1 remain unscathed, but I've heard Josh
takes pretty good care of himself, and Bob 1 has the advantage of
being a serious cokehead at one time. If someone would have told me
25 years ago that Devo would be so fat, I would have laughed in their
faces.

Jerry seems to have given up on a Devo reunion album. I'm inclined to
believe him. To be honest, it wouldn't sell very much. It would sell
to its niche audience but that would be it. As a business decision,
it doesn't make sense. At this point in their careers, the money's in
live work. I still want to hear it, though.

How about some quality bootlegs, dammit? Mike Ziegler makes good aud
recordings, but board recordings would be much better ;)
