Isn't that kinda like the device the "Con" was selling on the
"Adventures of The Smart Patrol" game?

They gave you a disease then sold you the stuff to keep you a live.

Yeah, Jerry was indeed held upright with a big black obelisk thingy last
night at the Oakland show. Despite Jerry's immobility, it was a good
show, no lack of energy, even from the immobile Jerry. They didn't
exactly wheel Jerry out. We saw between the main set and the encore
that Jerry was held onto the thing with some swing out arms at waist
level, and once the arms were swung back out, a roadie helped him slowly
hobble offstage. The same thing in reverse for the start of the
encores, he hobbles back with help, the arms swing in around his waist,
and a roadie puts his bass on him. Hard to picture from my description
I guess, maybe someone took some pictures? A solid show though, a full
set, including the one song they had dropped from some earlier shows
because of Josh hurting his hand or wrist, or something like that. (I
won't say which song for those who don't want to know the setlist, but
most here know which song I'm talking about.) From the listing on
clubdevo.com, the San Diego show is still on for tonight, so I guess
they'll be more Jerry-on-a-stick (Jerry-kabob?). That appears to be it
for shows until January, so I guess Jerry will have time to get his back
worked on and recover. I wish him a speedy recovery...

The crowd was kinda dead during the opening act, Bow Wow Wow, but they
played pretty well despite that. It was reserved seating in the kind of
theater that looks like it usually hosts plays and small symphonies, so
it wasn't exactly conducive to a dancey band. However, for Devo, the
crowd stood for the entire show. As it should be!

Isn't Bow Wow Wow just The Ants after they left Adam to become Adam
Ant? I liked The Ants, but I never got into Bow Wow Wow. Maybe it's
because I don't like Candy.... Hmmm

Bow Wow Wow were apart of the "Ant Music" family... Adam and the Ants
were trying to create thier own genre and Bow Wow Wow was one on the
roster.

Bow Wow Wow WERE Adam and the Ants - minus Adam.

Malcolm McLarem lured all of Adam's Ants away from Adam, paired them up
with a hottie girl singer and called it Bow Wow Wow.

Adam had to completely reform the Ants from scratch after that!
