What's the story of Nirvana doing the song Turnaround - wasn't that
song just a b-side but it was on an import Devo CD?

Did Cobain talk about how that came about - did Devo comment on it?

It was on the b-side of Whip It. It was on a Virgin import CD also.

I don't think I heard any specific quotes from him on it.
I believe Devo took his covering the song as a compliment, but I don't think
they understood his take on it.

"Of all the bands who came from the underground and actually made it in the
mainstream, Devo is the most challenging and subversive

I'd like to know why the hell Cobain changed so many of the lyrics.
He changed my favorite line from
"You go for that corner seat in the restaurant"
to
"You go to that crazy sounding restaurant"

I really believe he tried to be as faithful as he could to the original in
terms of the music and lyrics (although he did it in his music style). I
think he simply misunderstood what was being sung.

I'm quite sure Devo can't understand Cobain's lyrics either. It's
that Continental Divide thing between Seattle and Akron.
