Is there a song to this? I'm a little confused on that front. It was
interesting, I especially liked Mark's kind of nonchalant delivery in
his turtleneck and goatee.

That was Fred Weber on vocals.
Mark was the one in the mask behind the Mini-Moog.

"My band finally gets a chance to perform at the Creative Arts Festival at
Kent State University . a real intellectually pretentious affair!!! Virtual
orgasm for the I.Q. conscious Spud; and, how do I walk out on stage? In a
doctor's robe with a monkey mask on"

- Mark Mothersbaugh

Didn't anyone buy "The Complete Truth About De-Evolution" DVD (which
contains this video), or buy the Devo book (which explains this
performance)?
I guess I see why Devo packed it in after "Smooth Noodle Maps".
Their fans can't be bothered to actually spend money on their product.

There are different levels of fans. Some fans own everything, some own a
various things and some own or have been exposed to little. Education to
DEVO is not nor should it be done with finger wagging. All are welcome.

True, but robust sales of TCTAD can only help inspire more DVD releases;
such as "The Men Who Make The Music". If people don't buy the currently
available DVDs, it may doom TMWMTM to out-of-print status.

I do own The Complete Truth about De-Evolution DVD.

What Devo book are you talking about? It's probably out of print in
any case. I would also love to own "The Men Who Make the Music" but
that too is quite unavailable.

A lot of Devo product is out of print. A lot of the main albums have
just now seen re-release in the past 5 years or so. Total Devo and
Smooth Noodle Maps are both still out of print. I would love to own
some of it but I'm not about to pay collector's prices. The band
doesn't see any of that money anyway.

Sad but true, and my VHS copy is pretty beat.
