Showed Devo 1980 @ this years X-day Drill (unforntunatly is it not 1998
yet!) for the Church of The Sub genius.
Was a big hit! Dr. Dark, who runs his Drive-in every X-Day, was only
going to use it as a "filler" until the sun went down and made it dark
enough to show his "features"
He has a theame for everynight and that night was "Are We Not men"
night with two versions of the Island of Dr. Mourou. The 1930's version
w/ Bela Legousi, and the last remake with Marlin Brando.
So DEVO was a natural opening act.
Well, he ended up running the entire show. Many of the younger Yeti had
not seen DEVO in convert. The one next to me said that she was four
years old when this concert was going on.
I expect that There will be plenty of orders for the DVD over the next
few weeks!
Praise "Bob!"
